چکیده

Co-Simulation is a general approach to simulate coupled technical systems. In a master-slave concept the slaves simulate sub-problems whereas the master is responsible for both coordinating the overall simulation as well as transferring data. To unify the interface between master and slave the FMI for CoSimulation was developed. Using FMI a master was implemented with simple and advanced algorithms which can be applied depending on the properties of the involved slave simulators. The master was tested amongst others by coupling with SimulationX.

Test of Basic Co-Simulation Algorithms Using FMI

Since the FMI technology gains ground in industrial environment, the demand for robust co-simulation increases. In a master-slave concept the master algorithms define the quality of a co-simulation whereas the properties of the coupled FMUs for co-simulation restrict the variety of possible master algorithms. In this paper an existing experimental master tool with three basic master algorithms ...

Co-Simulation between detailed building energy performance simulation and Modelica HVAC component models

We discuss the application of the FMI Co-Simulation technology to building energy performance simulation, where detailed physical building models are coupled to Modelica-based HVAC component and plant models. First, we describe the generation process of the building FMU from our stand-alone building simulation program NANDRAD and sketch out internal algorithms for FMI version 2 capabilities. Th...

Application of Richardson Extrapolation to the Co-Simulation of FMUs from Building Simulation

The application of the FMI technology gains ground in building simulation. As far as specialized tools support the FMI simulator coupling becomes an important option to simulate complex building models. Cosimulation needs a master algorithm which controls the communication time steps as well as the signal exchange between FMUs. Often a constant communication step size is applied chosen by the u...

An Open-Source Graphical Composite Modeling Editor and Simulation Tool Based on FMI and TLM Co-Simulation

A common situation in industry is that a system model (here a composite model) is composed of several submodels which may have been developed using different tools. FMI is one important technology for exporting/importing models between tools and/or connecting them via co-simulation. TLM based modeling and co-simulation is another important technique for modeling, connecting, and simulation of e...

Functional Mockup Interface 2.0: The Standard for Tool independent Exchange of Simulation Models

The Functional Mockup Interface (FMI) is a tool independent standard for the exchange of dynamic models and for Co-Simulation. The first version, FMI 1.0, was published in 2010. Already more than 30 tools support FMI 1.0. In this paper an overview about the upcoming version 2.0 of FMI is given that combines the formerly separated interfaces for Model Exchange and Co-Simulation in one standard. ...
